ohw? x Scroobius Pip II

Posted on August 30, 2017 by Trudy Gill

We’re bringing more exciting news to you all… We are proud to announce that after a successful first collaboration  are launching a second collection with British Hip Hop Artist & Spoken Word Poet Scroobius Pip today!!

We first got together in September 2016, the collaboration boot featured Scroobius Pip’s handwritten logo on the back of the boot with his personal label motto on the inside.

After a design-led meeting with Scroobius Pip a mini collection was created incorporating three of our classic styles. For men’s we’ve taken Hawkins and Deacon and for women’s, Keegan and Deacon but with a unique new look. The three styles come in naturally tanned full grain burnished leathers. The men’s colourway is a rich brown/black finish and the women’s is a dark gunmetal/black finish.

Each pair includes our ‘signature’ detailing that is size markers on the uppers and contrast hand-stitching. ‘Brand’ details include Scroobius Pip laser cut logo on the heel tab and Scroobius Pip branding on the sock of each product.

Men’s sizing ranges from UK6 – UK12 and women’s UK3-UK8. This exciting collab is available to buy right now through here - don't miss out!

ohw? x Buckets and Spades

Posted on April 01, 2015 by Cherilyn Charlton

We are pleased to share our new collaboration with men’s fashion and lifestyle blog Buckets and Spades. Together we have created an exclusive, limited edition, suede moccasin boot.

Although Buckets and Spades blogger Matthew Pike lives in Blackpool (hence the charming title of the blog), Buckets and Spades is based in Lancashire, London and beyond and has been frequently listed among the top men’s fashion and lifestyle blogs.

ohw? x Buckets and Spades is the result of a mutual appreciation that led to Mat, a lover of simple, effective designs, agreeing to design a ohw? shoe.

Also a lover of bright colours, Mat’s three-eyelet moccasin boot design comes in striking sea blue and aquamarine suede, with a bright orange leather lining, red hiking laces and a white moccasin sole with an orange pyramid base.

Details include hand-stitched seams and whip-stitching, leather socks and less obvious touches such as size markers along the cut edges of the upper materials (the traditional way that shoemakers indicate the sizes of cut pieces).

The Buckets & Spades logo is hand embossed onto the suede back tab of the boot.

You can get your hands on a pair here or in store from our exclusive stockist, YEUK

I am ohw? ohw am I?

Posted on August 20, 2014 by Stephen Gill

When we first launched ohw? our aim, apart from making great shoes, was to be as up front as possible about how we make them, who makes them and where.

We're shoemakers first and foremost and we're very proud of our factory in China and its shoemaking expertise.

In a similar vein, when developing our first advertising creative we hit upon the idea of using hand drawings that underline our craftsmanship and featuring, not models, but some of the people who work with us.

All the images have been created by our friend John Jarrett, a talented illustrator and also fashion editor of cool men's style site Individualism. John himself appears in one of the executions.

The other subjects are Norman Hayes our main creative man, Christian Venn our guy in the US and Paul Wallett who we turn to for marketing wisdom when we need it.

All four are wearing styles from our new AW14 collection: Dan, Dan Low, and Gatland.
