For Spring/Summer 17, we present a collection designed to be significantly more lightweight and breathable. The shoemaker also introduces ladies’ styles for the first time.
In typical we style upper designs are understated, but with an updated aesthetic that focuses on hybrid sports styling through the use of either contemporary or retro sole units, technical fabrics and unlined, feature nubucks and suedes.
A feature of the SS17 collection is the wider use of Ariaprene – a new, hypoallergenic and breathable punched mesh neoprene - as an upper material. Some styles also feature an Ariaprene internal elastic sock for improved fit. Also used extensively are breathable, perforated nubucks.
Also new is a genuine moccasin construction on a slim profile, combination rubber and phylon white sole. Available in nubuck, suede and Ariaprene in two colourways, the style features hand-stitched seams and whip-stitching.
Three new ladies’ styles are introduced in response to customer demand. Featuring the Glide retro cupsole unit, Marnie and Skyler - six-eyelet lace-up shoes, and Hester - a cross-over slip on shoe, come in perforated nubuck and Ariaprene in nine different material and colour combinations.
Colours for SS17 focus on ohw?’s typically understated monochrome and muted palette – Black, Grey, White, Taupe, Mustard and Green - with the addition of a bright Indigo Blue.
Detailing includes natural finish, veg tan leather tabs and tongues, cross-punched eyelets, and signature details such as size markers along the cut edges of the upper materials (the traditional way that shoemakers indicate the sizes of cut pieces) and contrast hand-stitching in every pair.
